Terms of Service.

These terms apply to Govvy’s mobile apps, website and related services. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Govvy is intended for people aged 13 or older. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Govvy is an independent civic-information service. It does not represent, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by, a government entity. Questions about these terms can be sent to jwgillispie011@gmail.com.

Some features require an account or paid membership. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and notify support of suspected unauthorized access. Do not impersonate others, harass or threaten people, publish private information, submit unlawful content, compromise security or disrupt the service. Automated access or bulk extraction requires permission unless expressly allowed by an applicable license or law.

Govvy displays representative, legislative, election, campaign-finance, financial-disclosure and other civic information from official records and identified providers. Coverage and update timing vary by source, jurisdiction, reporting cycle and app version. Results may be missing, delayed or incorrect; no complete or real-time coverage is promised.

Check the linked source and reporting date before relying on a record. A reported holding is not necessarily a current holding, and a disclosed transaction date is not the date Govvy received the filing. Amount ranges are not exact values. Contributions, votes and associations do not by themselves establish influence, misconduct or causation. Summaries and interpretations are not official records or legal, financial or investment advice. Confirm election deadlines and eligibility with your election authority.

Govvy offers free public-information features and optional paid workflows. Govvy Pro supports eligible saved-item and notification features. Where available, Govvy Supporter includes the same Pro benefits and additional financial support for Govvy. Features and purchase options depend on platform and rollout; consult the current offer before subscribing.

The purchase screen and billing provider show the applicable price, currency, billing period, taxes and any introductory offer before confirmation. A trial is available only when offered to your account; there is no universal trial entitlement. Unless canceled under the provider’s rules, an auto-renewing subscription renews at the disclosed price and a trial converts to a paid subscription. Changes to an existing subscription follow the provider’s displayed terms and applicable law.

Manage an Apple subscription in your Apple account’s Subscriptions settings; manage a Google Play subscription in Google Play’s Payments & subscriptions settings. For a Govvy web subscription, sign in to the purchasing Govvy account and open Me → Manage membership for Stripe billing management. Use the provider shown on your receipt, even if you now use a different device.

Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge. Apple advises canceling a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends. Paid access generally continues through the period already paid for, subject to provider rules, refunds and applicable law; trial access may end sooner. Deleting a Govvy account or uninstalling the app does not cancel billing.

For a missing mobile purchase, use Restore purchases while signed in to the original store account and the Govvy account used for the purchase. Do not buy again while access is being resolved. Contact support with the provider, purchase date and order reference if needed. Refund eligibility follows the billing provider’s rules and applicable consumer law; cancellation alone is not a refund request.

Optional tips help support Govvy and are separate from Pro or Supporter subscriptions. Tips do not unlock features or provide goods or services. Govvy is not a charity; tips are not tax-deductible charitable contributions. Review the Stripe checkout details before paying. Contact support about tip-payment issues.

You remain responsible for content you submit. By submitting it, you permit Govvy to store, display, process and moderate it as needed to provide the requested feature, subject to the Privacy Policy and your sharing choices. Do not submit content you lack permission to share. Feedback is private unless you choose sharing and publication is approved.

Where community participation is available, it requires a registered account and agreement to the community rules. New posts and edits are reviewed before publication. Do not post harassment, threats, hate, spam, private personal information, impersonation or misleading source attributions. Govvy may remove content or suspend participation for violations. Report abusive content through available controls or support.

Anonymous posting hides your public identity from other users, not from Govvy’s moderation systems. Blocking hides an author’s content without revealing anonymous identities. Ratings are self-selected opinions, not representative polls. Attached sources and moderator approval are not verification or endorsement of a claim. Feature availability may change; support remains available for privacy or moderation requests.

Govvy’s original software, design and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Government records, third-party data, images, source documents and user submissions remain subject to their own rights, licenses and lawful-use restrictions. Public availability does not mean all material is in the public domain. These terms do not restrict rights granted by applicable law or a separate license.

The Privacy Policy explains account information, location, analytics, payments, notifications, feedback, community data and deletion. Read it at https://govvy--dev.web.app/privacy.html or under Me → Privacy policy. Privacy choices and requests are handled as described there.

The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, data-provider failures or changes to features. Notifications are not guaranteed or a substitute for official notices. We may restrict access for misuse or security concerns, subject to applicable law. You can stop using Govvy and request deletion under Me → Delete account or through support. Subscription cancellation remains a separate action with your billing provider.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To that same extent, Govvy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Applicable mandatory consumer protections continue to apply.

Revised terms will be posted with an updated date. Additional notice or consent will be provided when required by applicable law.
